Rangers have announced additional pre-season friendlies ahead of their Champions League Qualifiers and domestic campaign.
On July 10, the Gers will travel to League Two side Tranmere Rovers. The Merseyside club are managed by former Dundee boss Mickey Mellon.
Steven Gerrard's men then take on London giants Arsenal in what will be a prestigious friendly to commemorate the Light Blues 150th anniversary.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta told the clubsite: “We’re looking forward to travelling to Ibrox as part of our preparations for the 2021/22 season. I enjoyed two great seasons at Rangers and cannot wait to return to Glasgow and feel the incredible Ibrox atmosphere from the touchline.
"It will be a great pre-season test against Steven Gerrard’s reigning Scottish champions. We’re also proud to commemorate the long friendship between the two clubs by playing a part in their 150th anniversary celebrations.”
It will be another trip down south after when they will play against newly promoted Championship, Blackpool where ex Linfield and current Northern Ireland international Shayne Lavery plays.
"Subject to the return of fans" Rangers will host an open first-team training session at Ibrox on July 23 which will be exclusive to MyGers members only.
