Rangers add new backroom staff as another ex-Liverpool colleague joins Steven Gerrard

Former Liverpool physio Matt Konopinski has left his role with the FA to join Steven Gerrard at Rangers.

Konopinski was physio at Liverpool for 10 years and worked with Gerrard as both a player and youth coach.

He's now one of a number of former Anfield employees that makes up Gerrard's backroom staff, according to Training Ground Guru.

As well as Gerrard, assistant boss Gary McAllister has both played and coached at the club while first team coach Michael Beale, technical coach Tom Culshaw and head of performance Jordan Milson is also part of the Rangers staff.

Konopinski was head physio at Liverpool but wasn't part of the match day staff, instead preferring to focus on the rehab side.

The physio worked at Barnsley before joining Liverpool ands spent 10 years at the club before deciding to to move to the FA as U18 and U21 physio.

Now he'll be part of the staff at Ibrox as Gerrard continues to rebuild all parts of the club after years of turmoil.
