It wasn't pretty at times, but Rangers maintained their perfect pre-season record with a win over Coventry City at Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard had seen his side sweep Motherwell aside earlier in the week, and made just one change in the final match before the Scottish Premiership returns.
Allan McGregor came in for Jon McLaughlin, but neither he nor Jack Burroughs had much to do in a stodgy first half.
Alfredo Morelos had the best change of the opening 45, but but there was precious little to shout about inside an empty Ibrox.
The visitors made nine changes at the break and Rangers soon took advantage.
The impressive Joe Aribo played a clever one-two with Morelos on the edge of the box before poking a low finish beyond the goalkeeper.
Gerrard made his first changes on the hour mark, with Morelos looking distinctly unimpressed when his number came up.
Despite playing without a recognised striker though Rangers doubled their lead, with Connor Goldson rising highest to head home a James Tavernier free-kick.
Here are five things we noticed from Saturday's friendly.

Barisic bosses it
This should be a huge season for Borna Barisic.
His first saw the Croatian international struggle to adapt to the Scottish game, while his second was all about cementing that starting shirt.
The third should be when we really see the best of Barisic, and the left-back was hugely impressive here.
Tasked with providing the width as Ryan Kent drifted inside he was a constant threat, and there's certainly a case to be made he's the best crosser of a ball in Scottish football.
It's no secret that Rangers are looking for a big, physical striker and any player worthy of that description should thrive off the service from the left.
What's it all about, Alfie?

If there's been one negative in pre-season for Rangers it's that Morelos hasn't quite looked at peak sharpness.
It's a pattern we've seen in the past two summers, where El Bufalo has come back from the break potentially a bit short of his ideal fitness.
In each case he was soon banging in the goals, but with Jermain Defoe out injured the Gers can't afford to have their main man firing on anything less than all cylinders.
It'd be difficult to suggest Morelos look out of shape, but he was rusty in a few of his touches and missed with a first-half header you'd expect the Colombian to have at least hit the target with.
He combined nicely with Aribo for the opening goal, but then snatched at a chance which you'd have put your house on him burying.
His reaction to being taken off showed El Bufalo hasn't lose the fire, but making sure Morelos is at his harrying, snarling best at Pittodrie in a week's time will surely be top of Steven Gerrard's list of priorities.
Ideal preparation

Pre-season friendlies can be dull affairs at the best of times, and this wasn't a classic of the genre.
That doesn't mean it wasn't a worthwhile exercise though, and indeed this may have been the most important game Rangers have played over the summer.
Coventry set up with a low block and a narrow defence as they sought to frustrate the hosts - which is exactly how most teams will set up against them in Scotland.
While the Gers have enough quality to see off the defensive sides near the bottom of the table, they've come unstuck in recent seasons against some of the league's better defences.
Teams like Kilmarnock and Aberdeen have caused significant problems, and here Rangers once again looked somewhat lacking in ideas against a deep and organised defence.
It's an issue Gerrard needs to sort out to have any chance of stopping Celtic this season, and this will be the game he pores over to try and iron out that flaw.
Helander returns

Rangers fans haven't seen as much of Helander as they'd have hoped since his £3.5million move from Bologna last summer.
The Swede was behind in his preparation when he arrived thanks to Serie A's later kick-off date, then saw his season cut short by injury.
As a result the centre-back has made just eight Premiership appearances, and he hadn't featured in pre-season up to now.
Helander came off the bench to play the last half hour though, and his return will be a boon for Gerrard with Nikola Katic facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Aribo continues to impress

You only have to look at Aribo to see that he's been putting in the work in the gym over the shutdown.
That physical presence was one aspect that ensured the midfielder was not the finished article last season, but based on his form in these friendlies he could be set for a real breakthrough campaign.
Aribo showed his intelligence for his goal, playing a quick one-two with Morelos before finishing well.
His quality on the ball was again in evidence - a cheeky second half nutmeg would surely have brought a roar from the Ibrox crowd in ordinary circumstances - and the Nigerian international looks a far more powerful figure now.
Aribo seemed to be limping slightly as he went off, and Gerrard will be praying it's nothing serious.
