Nottingham Forest fans are insisting Rangers have made a major mistake as the Premiership champions celebrate a landmark 150 years.
The club announced they would be hosting a Weekend of Legends later next March, including Luis Figo leading a side out to face an Ibrox Legends team.
However, the wording of the announcement irked some fans irked some fans south of the border.
The former European Cup winners marked their 150 year celebrations back in 2015 having been founded in 1865.
But Rangers' announcement stated the clash would mark "becoming the first major European club to reach their 150th anniversary."
Despite a consistent English second tier place in recent years, the City Ground faithful were quick to claim a mistake had been made.
@neilmarshall41 tweeted: "Erm NFFC [with] two European Cups reached 150 a few years ago, how many have Rangers won?"
@EJStockdale chimed in: "Remember what we did… when we in Munich and Madrid… Founded in 1865, but the boys in Scotland have forgotten that."

@justinsinnotts continued: "Having a laugh? The Twice Champions of Europe were formed in 1865."
@TrickyGBH bluntly added: "Absolute tosh."
Rangers fans weren't having any of it though - insisting Forest's recent record took them out of the frame of being considered a "major club."
@wadamski pointed out: "Rangers getting to the semis of the Champions League in the modern era is easily a bigger achievement than winning the old European Cup."
@andrew_armit added: "It says major - don’t they play in League One or something?"
Former Real Madrid superstar Luis Figo took no notice of the debate online, as he tweeted his delight at returning to Ibrox.
He said: "I’m looking forward to captaining a team that will include former World Cup and Champions League winners."
