Range Rover driver with provisional licence caught dropping kids off to school

A parent was caught driving their children to school in a Range Rover without a licence.

When the driver was stopped, on Pottery Lane, Gorton, they showed police their provisional licence.

The SUV, which was not insured, has now been seized by police.

GMP Traffic posted about the incident on Twitter on Thursday morning, saying: "Vehicle seized on Pottery Lane, Gorton this morning by GMP East RPU patrol.

"The driver was stopped whilst taking their children to school driving on a provisional licence and without any insurance!!"

The force posted a picture of the white Evoque, bearing a sticker saying: "No insurance, seized by police."

The tweet attracted many responses, with social media users pointing out how irresponsible it was.

North West Motorway Police replied: "Unbelievable!"
