Kawhi Leonard’s “Board Man Gets Paid” T-shirt understandably garnered a ton of attention at the Raptors’ championship parade Monday. I mean, how could it not?
Leonard won NBA Finals MVP and brilliantly poked fun at his own viral, trash-talk story (and laugh). But that shirt wasn’t the best piece of parade attire amongst the Raptors players.
Not even close.
That designation belonged to sparingly used, little-known rookie guard Jordan Loyd. Though Loyd appeared in just 12 games this season and didn’t play in the playoffs, he did earn himself a timeless spot in Raptors history by simply looking excited.
In that amazing photo from the Raptors star’s buzzer-beater against the Sixers, Loyd was the player in the suit next to Leonard.

This was what Loyd decided to wear during Monday’s parade. He had to make sure everyone knew who he was.
“Random guy in a suit.” That’s so good, Loyd. He even had a laugh about the shirt.
It really did deserve more attention. After all, he took that photo to another level.
