Random man sneaks into woman’s backyard but wasn’t expecting protective dogs to be waiting for him

Dogs truly are man’s best friend. No creature will defend you or your home as fiercely as our canine companions. For as long as the bond between man and beast has existed dogs have proven they will do whatever it takes to protect their humans.

Footage of a backyard intruder being chased by some angry dogs has gone viral on TikTok with the video garnering over 8 million views on the app. The video, which appears to be security footage of the backyard of a house, shows an intruder desperately trying (and failing) to hop the gate before two dogs charge at him.

With nowhere to go, the man maneuvers himself between two wheelie bins for protection before the woman who presumably lives in the house comes out and confronts him, demanding to know exactly what he is doing in her yard.

Some random man let himself into my backyard and my dogs did their job until mamma got there. Edit to add: no he was not homeless #protectiondog #protectthefamily

The argument is hard to hear but it sounds like the man claims he thought no one was in the house, although that’s hardly a good enough justification for trespassing on the property. The woman angrily responds telling him that he should have rung the bell.

Is the guy ok?

Of course, you can never be too careful in situations like this. Who knows what this man’s intentions truly were. Thankfully the woman’s dogs were able to frighten him enough to make sure he would never come back.

Some commenters questioned whether the man was homeless, with a few admitting that they felt sorry for him, “I hate having a sensitive heart and see the good in everyone,” wrote one person, “cause he seems so lost.” Another added, “I feel kinda bad for him.” However, most were of the mindset that the man shouldn’t have been trespassing in the first place. Either way it seems the dogs did no serious harm, other than scaring the living daylights out of that man.

Most commenters cheered for the fearsome canines, claiming that they were good dogs for defending the house while not going too far in actually causing serious harm. “Those PROTECTORS spared his LIFE. They could of LITERALLY ripped him to PIECES.”

In the caption the woman clarified that the man was not homeless although it’s somewhat unclear how she knows that to be the case. She also doesn’t give any more context as to what the guy was doing there. Either way, it’s a good thing she had her dogs with her to frighten him off, this is why dogs are truly our best friends.
