Randalstown Road crash: Police say one man has died in Antrim collision

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Antrim, police have confirmed.

In a short statement, the PSNI said: “Following a two vehicle road traffic collision, police can confirm that a man has died on the A6 Randalstown Road area of Antrim adjacent to Innishmoyne Green this afternoon (Friday 24th January).

“The A6 Randalstown Road remains closed and motorists are advised to seek alternative main routes for their journey. There are no further details at this stage.”

Police later confirmed that the deceased man was 29.

Earlier police said the Randalstown Road was closed at the junction with the Chapel roundabout and the junction with the entrance to Junction One International Outlet, “following a serious two vehicle road traffic collision”.

The police later said that the road has been re-opened.
