Randall Cobb: No offer from Packers during free agency

Former Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb revealed on the “Wilde and Tausch” podcast Friday that the Packers never extended him an offer during free agency.

Cobb, who spent his first eight seasons with the Packers, eventually signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

“I know there was never an offer put on the table (from the Packers), before or after the offer from Dallas and a couple other teams,” Cobb said.

Cobb said he would have considered returning to the Packers had the team made an offer.

Instead, Cobb took a deal to join Dak Prescott and the Cowboys in Dallas. It’s early, but he stood out during the offseason workout program.

Cobb, who turns 29 in August, said he’ll be fueled by his departure from Green Bay.

“It’s like the ex-girlfriend that broke up with you,” Cobb said jokingly. “Obviously, you draw fuel from situations, good and bad.”

The Packers play Cobb and the Cowboys on Oct. 6 in Dallas.
