RANCHI: Apprehension among the students, parents and school administrators in the wake of the June 10 violence made them cautious and skip classes on Friday.
Some schools, including Bridgeford, declared a holiday on Friday while many others witnessed poor attendance. In its notice, Bridgeford School said the institute was closed because of safety concerns and would remain open on Saturday.
The principal of the school, Seema Chitlangia, said, “Friday’s classes have been cancelled due to parental concerns and because of the tension in the city. The school will be open as usual on Saturday.”
