RAMGARH: The Ramgarh administration on Friday rolled out a year-long eye check-up drive for over 1 lakh students of government-run schools in the district.
Ramgarh civil surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar said, “Students aged between four and 18 years will be screened. If they are detected with eye problem, the district health authorities will get their glasses made. Those with complicated problems, or who require surgery or better medical care will be referred to Rims or other state-run hospitals.” The state government intends to scale up the project in the coming years.
