RANCHI: Unidentified criminals on Friday evening shot at a jeweller identified as Om Prakash Soni at Etwari under the Ratu police station area of Ranchi.
The injured is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Ranchi rural superintendant of police Naushad Alam said that the businessman was returning home after closing his shop when he was attacked. Three cartridges have been found from the spot. He said that prima facie it seemed that the assailants have taken away a bag of the victim though there has been no formal statement from the latter in this regard.
