JAMSHEDPUR: The popular Tatanagar-Jammutawi express will resume service from Tatanagar on July 1 and from Jammutawi on July 4. “This train was stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020,” said Chakradharpur divisional railway senior commercial manager Manish Pathak.
The train (18101) will leave Tatanagar every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 5.05 pm and reach Jammutawi at 2.10 pm on the third day. While returning, the train from Jammutawi (18102) will run every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. It will start at 2.40 pm and reach Tatanagar at 9.50 am on the third day.
The train with two AC 2-tier, seven AC 3-tier, seven sleeper class and two general II-class coaches will have stoppages at Chandil, Muri and Ramgarh Cant, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Delhi, Amritsar, among other stations.
The Jharkhand Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee president, Shailendra Singh, said that several representations were given to the railway in the past one year to resume the service of Tata Jammutawi.
