They say you can put ranch dressing on everything — and Hidden Valley is ready to test that theory.
Earlier this week, the condiment company best known for its ranch dressing tweeted to Pop Tarts with a suggestion for a new flavor — ranch dressing.

One can only imagine what the green icing on a ranch Pop Tart might taste like. Lettuce? Broccoli? Kale?
The tweet got over 5,000 likes, but most of the responses begged Hidden Valley to reconsider. Luckily for them, Pop Tarts did not appear to be on board with this food mashup.

Although this mashup never seemed likely to get off the ground, Pop Tarts has turned other well-known brands and flavors into pastry delights — A&W Root Beer, Orange Crush, Reese’s. Ranch dressing, however, appears to cross the line for Pop Tarts.
For now, Pop Tarts fans will have to continue enjoying other classic breakfast flavors such as blueberry and brown sugar cinnamon.
