Rams WRs dominated NFC West in PFF’s top 5 rankings

In the last two years, the Los Angeles Rams have completely remade their receiving corps. They had one of the worst pass-catching groups in the league before Sean McVay arrived, but very quickly, it’s turned into one of the best.

The trio of Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp, when healthy, can rival any in the league today and all are under contract for at least two more years. Kupp missed eight games last season due to injury, but he still finished the year with 40 catches, 566 yards and a career-high six touchdowns.

The Rams as a whole dominated the NFC West at wide receiver, as evidenced by Pro Football Focus’ rankings from 2018. Three players from L.A. finished among the five highest-graded receivers in the division.

It’s a testament to the talent both the Rams and Seahawks have at wide receiver that not a single Cardinal or 49er didn’t make the list. Kupp, the lowest-graded receiver in the top 5, finished with the 29th-best grade of any wide receiver in the NFL despite only playing eight games.

Jared Goff should feel very fortunate to have such a talented group of receivers catching passes from him, especially with all of them being under contract for the foreseeable future.
