Teams across the NFL were stripped of joint practices last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was a real detriment to the Los Angeles Rams. Sean McVay puts a lot of value in practices against other teams, especially given his conservative approach to the preseason.
Fortunately, joint practices will be back in 2021.
On Thursday, McVay announced that the Rams will hold practice sessions with both the Raiders and Cowboys. And in that same announcement, he said the Rams will be going back to UC Irvine for their traditional training camp setup after staying home at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks last year during the pandemic.
Rookies will report for camp on July 25, with veterans following two days later on July 27.

The Rams will not face the Cowboys or Raiders in the regular season, but they will host the Raiders in Week 2 of the preseason.
