Rams tweak Rob Havenstein’s contract to free up $1.56M in cap space

The Los Angeles Rams needed cap space in the worst way possible and they made two moves on Friday to create some room. After restructuring Jared Goff’s contract to free up $7 million in cap space, the Rams also tweaked Rob Havenstein’s deal to create another $1.56 million, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

This is all in response to Leonard Floyd and A’Shawn Robinson officially signing their contracts with the Rams, which put the Rams even more in a hole with the salary cap.

Goff’s restructure was the biggest move the Rams could’ve made to free up cap space, though had they done it before his roster bonus was paid, they could’ve created another $9.8 million.
