The Los Angeles Rams have traded up for the third time in the draft, once again with the Patriots. They sent New England the 162nd and 167th picks for Nos. 134 and 243.
With the 134th overall pick, the Rams selected Washington defensive tackle Greg Gaines.
Gaines, a Southern California native, will likely replace Ndamukong Suh on the interior of the defensive line. He stands at 6-foot-1, 312 pounds and was projected as a Day 3 pick.
In four years at Washington, Gaines was highly productive. He made 149 tackles (21.5 for a loss) and recorded 9.5 sacks, 4.5 of which came last season alone.
