A lot can (and will) happen between now and the start of the regular season, but one thing is certain: Oddsmakers believe the Los Angeles Rams will once again be one of the best teams in the league. Not only are they among the Super Bowl favorites, but they’re also projected to have one of the highest win totals in football next season.
Vegas sportsbook CG Technology released the first projected win totals of the year and the Rams check in at No. 2, tied with the Chiefs and Saints. Their projected win totals are set at 10.5, only behind the Patriots, who are projected to win 11 games.
The Rams won 13 games last season and earned the No. 2 seed in the NFC, tying for the best record in football with the Saints. Last April, one sportsbook set the Rams’ over/under total at 9.5 wins, which they surpassed with ease.
They’ve improved their record in each of the last three years, going from 4-12 in 2016 to 11-5 the following year to 13-3 last season. It’s hard to imagine the Rams getting even better and winning more than 13 games in 2019, but nothing’s impossible.
All 32 teams know who they’ll be playing next season, though the schedules have yet to be released. That’ll happen at some point before the draft, bringing even more clarity to the picture.
