Rams set dates for 2023 OTAs and mandatory minicamp

It won’t be long before Rams players are back at the facility working out and training for the 2023 season. On Friday, the NFL announced dates for each team’s organized team activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamps, as well as the first day for players to report.

The Rams won’t have a voluntary minicamp like teams with new head coaches will, but they’ll have players reporting as early as April 17. A month later, OTAs will begin. Then in mid-June, the Rams will hold their mandatory minicamp, which is typically the first time the full team is back together.

Here’s a look at the full schedule of OTAs and minicamp for the Rams as they look to bounce back from a rough 5-12 season in 2022.

  • First day: April 17
  • OTAs: May 22-23, May 25, May 30-May 31, June 2, June 5-8
  • Mandatory minicamp: June 13-15

During OTAs, no contact is permitted on the practice field, but teams are able to run drills of 7-on-7, 9-on-9 and 11-on-11, so there will be some full-team sessions taking place in May.

The same applies for minicamp; all three days will be non-contact practices.
