Rams-Saints betting line shifts, L.A. now only favored by 1.5 points

There’s no denying that the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints are two very evenly matched teams. In their last three games against each other, only one point separates them (88-87 in favor of the Saints).

The Rams are 2-1 in that span, but the Saints have put up a strong fight in both of their losses.

Ahead of Sunday’s tilt, the Rams were favored by 2.5 points. It was one of the smaller spreads of the week, and as of Friday morning, it’s even tighter.

According to BetMGM, the Rams are now only favored by 1.5 points. It may not seem like a lot, but the one-point shift this late in the week is certainly noteworthy. It’s unlikely to do with the fact that Michael Brockers and Clay Matthews are battling injuries, but more that there’s probably been a lot of money coming in on the Saints.

That typically leads to the sportsbook shifting the spread a bit to even out the bets coming in on both teams.

The over/under of 52.5 points remained the same, as it’s the second-highest total of the week. These two teams can put up points in bunches, but their defenses are also strong.
