Rams rookie Van Jefferson gave away his cleats from college to players in need

This has been a difficult offseason for rookies, having no spring practices or workouts to get acclimated to the NFL after being drafted. They’re doing their best to make it work and catch up on the field in training camp, but Van Jefferson is taking it a step further.

He shared on Instagram that he was giving away cleats from his college days at Florida to players in need of football equipment for the upcoming season. It was a kind gesture by the rookie who’s just trying to get up to speed in his new profession, and it seems players took him up on the offer.

Jefferson tweeted Sunday that all the pairs have been given away and that he plans to give away more equipment in the future.

One of the traits the Rams loved in Jefferson was his character and work ethic, and this move is an example of how he also shines off the field. The Rams got a good one with the 57th overall pick.
