Rams release final injury report before Saints game

The Los Angeles Rams had a few players on the injury report to begin the week as both Michael Brockers and Clay Matthews missed practice on Wednesday. Matthews returned on Thursday and was limited, as was Clay Matthews, but all three players are good to go for the Saints game.

Friday’s injury report wasn’t as clean as last week’s, but there are no designations for any of the players on the roster.

Todd Gurley got a rest day after practicing Wednesday and Thursday, while Andrew Whitworth also suited up for a full practice after a day off.

Eric Weddle returned as a full participant on Friday, clearing the concussion protocol after leaving last week’s game with a head laceration. He seems ready to go for Week 2, which is great news.

McVay said the Rams are “hopeful” about Brockers, Matthews and Weddle all playing.

As for the Saints, only Sheldon Rankins has any injury designation. He’s been ruled out, unsurprisingly, as he’s not expected back from his Achilles injury for another few weeks.

Unless an injury happens between now and Sunday, the Rams’ seven inactives on game day will all be healthy scratches again.
