Surprisingly, the NFL didn’t put Rams-Saints in prime time after they played two riveting games last season – including an NFC championship that went into overtime. Instead, it’ll be at 4:25 on FOX as “America’s Game of the Week” this Sunday.
It should still draw a huge audience, especially after the way the last game between these two teams ended. You might remember the Rams benefited from a blatant missed pass interference penalty on Nickell Robey-Coleman, which everyone admits was a blunder by the officials.
Ahead of this marquee matchup, the Rams released a hype video that’s sure to give Rams fans the chills.
Both teams are at or around full strength with no key players expected to miss the game. So we’ll be treated to Jared Goff versus Drew Brees, Todd Gurley versus Alvin Kamara, and once again, Marcus Peters versus Michael Thomas.
Given the expectations for both of these teams, this could be Part 1 of a two-game series between the Rams and Saints. It’s very possible they’ll meet again in the postseason.
