Jared Goff officially became the Los Angeles Rams’ franchise quarterback on Tuesday, agreeing to terms on a four-year extension that will keep him in Los Angeles through the 2024 season. The deal includes the most guaranteed money in league history at $110 million.
It was an unexpected move by the Rams, who said all along that a deal wouldn’t come until next year.
Good it’s the unquestioned leader of the Rams after helping the reach the Super Bowl last season, so it should come as no surprise that his teammates rallied around him after news broke.
Several players congratulated him on Twitter and Instagram.
