A three-game losing streak hasn’t caused the oddsmakers to overreact and lose much faith in the Los Angeles Rams. Heading into Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons, after losing to the 49ers on Sunday afternoon, the Rams remain the favorites despite being on the road.
At BetMGM, the line opened with Los Angeles being favored by three points over the Falcons. It’s not a huge spread, but considering the home team is typically spotted three points by sportsbooks, it is noteworthy.
It’s also worth mentioning the fact that the Falcons have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, limping to a 1-5 record – even with Matt Ryan ranking second in yards and first in touchdown passes.
Not surprisingly, the over/under line is extremely high. At 54.5 points, it’s four points higher than any other game in Week 7. That’s what happens when Ryan and Julio Jones are on one side, and Jared Goff and Sean McVay are on the other – last week’s blunder aside.
This season, the Rams are 4-2 against the spread, while the Falcons are just 1-5.
