Rams open as big favorites over Bengals in Week 8 London game

After going to Atlanta and beating the Falcons 37-10, the Los Angeles Rams will hit the road for the second leg of their eastbound road trip. In Week 8, they’ll host the Bengals for a game in London, which is the Rams’ first trip across the pond since 2017.

It’s a matchup between Sean McVay and his former offensive coordinator Zac Taylor, who was hired by the Bengals as their head coach this offseason. Unfortunately for Taylor, he has yet to earn his first victory in the NFL, with the Bengals beginning the season 0-7.

It’ll be difficult to get his first win against the Rams, though, because the Bengals open as huge underdogs in Week 8. At BetMGM, the Rams opened as 12.5-point favorites over Cincinnati, the third-largest spread of the week.

The Bengals are struggling on both sides of the ball, specifically on offense. A.J. Green’s absence has limited their production offensively, while Joe Mixon has done very little in the backfield this season.

The Rams shouldn’t have any trouble holding the Bengals to less than 20 points in Week 8, while moving the ball on offense probably won’t be very difficult, either. The Bengals are dead last in the NFL in yards allowed and 24th in points allowed, also ranking last in rushing attempts and yards against.

The over/under is set at 48.5 points, though if the over is going to hit, it’ll likely be thanks to the Rams doing much of the work themselves.
