Rams’ Josh Carraway (Achilles), Aaron Neary (ankle) out indefinitely

The injury bug had stayed away from the Los Angeles Rams for most of training camp and the preseason, but it bit hard on Saturday night at the Coliseum. The Rams lost two players to significant injuries in their win over the Denver Broncos.

Pass rusher Josh Carraway suffered a torn Achilles and will be out for the season. offensive lineman Aaron Neary fractured his ankle and will be out indefinitely, according to Sean McVay.

Both players were carted off the field on Saturday night, which signified the injuries were severe. Unfortunately, they’re both likely out for the season – in Carraway’s case, he’s certainly out for the year.

Neither player was certain to make the 53-man roster as they were fighting to make the team. Carraway was playing well in the preseason, standing out in the opener against the Raiders.

Neary is serving a four-game suspension to start the year, but this makes it extremely difficult for him to make the 53-man roster. His best chance of sticking around with the Rams is by landing on season-ending injured reserve.
