Rams injury report: Troy Hill questionable, Bryce Hager out vs. Bengals

The Los Angeles Rams have undergone several changes in the secondary this season, but they hope to have the same starters on Sunday as they did last week. That’s up in the air right now, however, as Troy Hill is listed as questionable to play against the Bengals.

He’s battling a hamstring injury and missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He was limited on Friday, one day after Sean McVay said “we expect him to be ready to go.” That’s not to say Hill won’t play, but it seems less certain than McVay made it sound yesterday.

“We listed him as questionable. We’re going to use all the time that we do have, we’ll get him through a workout tomorrow,” McVay said Friday. “He’s feeling good – I just talked to him. But, those soft-tissue injuries can be a little bit dicey. I’m feeling good – feeling the same – but we’ll continue to use all the time we have with the soft-tissue injuries. He’ll be questionable for now.”

As for the rest of the final injury report, Bryce Hager has been ruled out with a shoulder injury, as has Malcolm Brown with an ankle injury of his own. This will be Brown’s second consecutive game missed.

Hager was a healthy scratch in Week 7 and didn’t play a defensive snap in Week 6. Troy Reeder has taken over the starting job at inside linebacker, which has pushed Hager into a reserve role.

As you can see on the Bengals’ side, A.J. Green will not be making his 2019 debut against the Rams. Cordy Glenn is also out with a concussion, as are Carl Lawson and Dre Kirkpatrick with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively.

The Bengals are getting William Jackson back from a shoulder injury, which is a boost to their secondary.
