Rams injury report: Donald, Kupp and Wolford DNP, Goff progressing

Injuries have hit the Rams hard in the last few weeks, losing a number of key players at big moments. Saturday’s game against the Seahawks brought about several notable injuries, including ones to Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, David Edwards and John Wolford.

To open the week on Tuesday, the Rams only held a walk-through. So as a result, the injury report was just an estimation of the participation for each player. Donald (ribs), Kupp (knee) and Wolford (neck) would not have practiced if the Rams held a normal session, nor would have Edwards (ankle).

Jared Goff is still recovering from thumb surgery, but he’s trending in the right direction. He was listed as a full participant, which is an improvement from him being limited last week. Nsimba Webster (hamstring) and Andrew Whitworth (knee) would have been limited in practice.

And lastly, Terrell Lewis would not have practiced Tuesday due to an ankle injury, which McVay did not mention coming out of the Rams’ win over the Seahawks.

McVay has already said that Kupp and Donald are expected to play against the Packers despite their current injuries. He’s not so sure about Wolford and Goff, though one of them will surely get the start on Saturday.

Wednesday’s injury report will be much more telling as far as each player’s status for the game, but the biggest question marks right now are Edwards and Wolford.
