Rams have zero players leading their position in Pro Bowl Games voting

Few teams in the NFL have as many big-name stars as the Los Angeles Rams do. Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Bobby Wagner, Allen Robinson. It’s a collection of Pro Bowl-caliber players, with some even destined for the Hall of Fame someday.

Yet, this team could be without a single Pro Bowler this season.

The NFL released the results from the first round of Pro Bowl Games voting and there isn’t a Rams player who leads his position. In the last five years, the Rams at least had Aaron Donald atop the defensive tackle voting, but even he’s been beaten out by Javon Hargrave of the Eagles. Jalen Ramsey is also lagging behind at cornerback, and Bobby Wagner is behind the Seahawks’ Jordyn Brooks.

Here’s a look at the leading vote-getter at each position.

One huge factor in all of this is team success. It’s no coincidence that many of the best teams in the league this year are also among the top vote-getting teams. With the Rams falling way out of contention in the NFC, fan interest and excitement is dwindling by the week.

Not to mention, Cooper Kupp is hurt, so he isn’t getting as many votes, Ramsey is having a down year by his standards and Donald isn’t racking up the sacks like he usually does – which is a stat many fans look at.

The Pro Bowl – now rebranded as the Pro Bowl Games – is a popularity contest and fans often vote for players on the teams they root for. If those teams are struggling, votes are tough to come by.
