Rams CB Jalen Ramsey says JuJu Smith-Schuster is no AB and he’s not wrong

When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Los Angeles Rams this weekend one of the marquee matchups will be between Pittsburgh wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and Los Angeles cornerback Jalen Ramsey. But it doesn’t seem Ramsey is too concerned about Smith-Schuster and even took a shot at the young wide receiver compared to former teammate Antonio Brown.

“No disrespect to him, he’s not Antonio Brown,” Ramsey said. “I matched up with Antonio for two years there, and that was a good battle. I held my own in those battles. Now, I’m going against a different person, a different body type, a different receiver a little bit. He can make plays. But I’m playing my game. I’m not really worried about it.”

If you want to translate what Ramsey is saying he is implying Smith-Schuster isn’t really a No. 1 wide receiver. This might be debatable but it’s no stretch to say Smith-Schuster hasn’t taken over in Brown’s absence. You can put some of this on the quarterbacks throwing him the football and some on the other guys in the route but if Smith-Schuster wants to quiet the critics, getting the best of Ramsey is a step in the right direction.
