Rams camp: Terrell Lewis among 4 players to sit out practice Tuesday

Sean McVay revealed on Tuesday that linebacker Travin Howard will miss the entire 2020 season due to a torn meniscus, but he’s not the only Rams player currently dealing with an injury. Taylor Rapp is working his way back from a knee injury, while Darrell Henderson is still recovering from a hamstring strain.

Cooper Kupp has soreness in his leg, which limited his playing time in the scrimmage, and also kept him out of practice Tuesday.

Apparently, Terrell Lewis may have some sort of ailment, too.

Lewis and Leonard Floyd both sat out practice today, but only Floyd’s absence was a planned rest day. According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, that wasn’t the case for Lewis. It’s unclear why Lewis wasn’t on the field, though he was spotted on the sideline with Floyd as a non-participant.

McVay spoke before practice today, so he won’t be available to provide an update on Lewis until Wednesday. Hopefully if it is an injury, it’s nothing serious because the Rams can’t afford to lose much more at linebacker.

Rapp’s return to practice (at least in some capacity) is encouraging, but Henderson is still on the mend. The hope is he’ll be back for Week 1 against the Cowboys, but every day he sits out practice, concern continues to grow.
