Rams announce offseason program dates, including OTAs and minicamp

The Los Angeles Rams are just two months removed from the end of the 2018 season, but the offseason workout program is already right around the corner. Players will be back at the team’s facility in two weeks for the start of the program.

The Rams announced on Monday that the first day of offseason workouts is April 15, kicking off Phase 1. Below is the full schedule, including organized team activities and mandatory minicamp.

First Day: April 15
OTA Offseason Workouts: May 20-21, May 23, May 28-30, June 3-6
Mandatory Minicamp: June 11-13

Phase 1 consists of classroom work, as well as strength and conditioning. It will last for two weeks before Phase 2 begins. In that part of the program, which lasts three weeks, players can get on the field for workouts, though no live contact is allowed. OTAs are included in Phase 3, allowing four weeks of practice. There are a total of 10 days of practice sessions with no live contact.

None of the sessions on the schedule above are required of players other than mandatory minicamp, therefore they cannot be fined for missing them. However, some players on the roster can earn workout bonuses by attending the spring program.
