Jalen Ramsey wasn’t in attendance at practice on Wednesday, but the Rams’ other two additions were on the field. Kenny Young and Austin Corbett participated in the first day of practice this week in a full capacity and are on track to be available Sunday against the Falcons.
They were wearing No. 45 and 63, respectively, but after practice, the Rams announced official jersey numbers for both players. It turns out Ogbonnia Okoronkwo didn’t give up his No. 45 jersey as Young will wear No. 41 and Corbett No. 63.
We learned Wednesday night that Ramsey got No. 20 from Troy Hill, who will be switching to No. 22 – his third jersey number in two years.
Corbett won’t be a starter just yet as David Edwards will fill in for Joseph Noteboom at left guard, and Young’s role has yet to be determined. We’ll get more clarity on each player this weekend when the Rams face the Falcons.
