Rampaging thieves who stole £50k worth of cars from Scots garage caught on CCTV

CCTV footage has caught the moment thieves burst into a motor showroom in Falkirk and nicked three cars worth £50,000.

It shows them, all wearing black with part of their faces covered and one carrying an orange bag, entering Formula One Car Supermarket on Glasgow Road in Camelon late on Saturday night and during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bosses say extensive damage was also caused to gates and fences around the building.

Detectives, along with forensic officers, spent most of Sunday doing a finger tip search and taking pictures of the scene.

All three cars stolen are Ford Focus STs, but one was later recovered nearby and is currently being forensically examined at a special lab.

However, cops are still on the hunt for a blue and white sport model with registrations BT13WYC and YC13EAF.

Garage manager Lee told the Daily Record: "Two cars are still missing and the third is being looked at by police so I'm not sure when we will get that back.

One suspect was carrying an orange bag (UGC)

"It was found not far from the garage, so it looks like they've taken a wrong turn and possible got stuck so therefor abandoned the car.

"This is the last thing we need, times are hard enough at the minute, never mind losing £50,000 through a theft."

The company is offering a "substantial" reward to anyone who provides information to catch those responsible.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of two vehicles stolen from a dealership on Glasgow Road around 6.55am on Sunday, 21 February.

"The vehicles were stolen sometime overnight between Saturday, 20 February and 1.30am on Sunday, 21 February.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
