Ramadan timetable 2019: London fasting, iftar and prayer times

Muslims all over London are currently celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, a time of community, prayer and reflection.

Considered the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, Ramadan is observed by Muslims as a 30-day fast in an effort to bring themselves closer to Allah.

When is Ramadan 2019 in the UK?

Although the exact dates depend on the sighting of the moon, Ramadan usually takes place between mid-May to mid-June.

This year, the moon was seen on the evening of Sunday, May 5 - meaning that fasting began on May 6 and will last until June 4.
