Ralf Rangnick has vowed to 'play as many young players as possible' at Manchester United.
Rangnick was appointed as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's interim successor last month and he arrived at Old Trafford with a large reputation, having influenced the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann across his career.
The German has a clear philosophy, but he's also shown he appreciates the Reds' proud tradition of developing academy talent.
Rangnick handed debuts to Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage in the Champions League against BSC Young Boys and he's now confirmed that he'll continue to play the club's youngsters if they have the talent, personality and mentality for it.
“I think since the Busby Babes this has always been part of the DNA of the club," Rangnick told United's in-house media.
"And the same was true under Sir Alex Ferguson in those 27 years.
"It’s not only about youth, it’s about being talented and having the right personality and mentality. If those things come together then of course I want to play as many of those young players as possible.
"We had three, four or five of them in our squad already and for me it’s important to develop those players.”
