Manchester United appointing Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager is set to impact a transfer decision made by Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Our sister publication football.london understands that talks are set to be held between the Blues and Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow - who allowed Rangnick to replace sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Old Trafford dugout until the end of the season.
His spell in charge started with a narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
However, while Rangnick touching down in the Premier League was a significant moment for United and, naturally, his former club, there is set to be a further knock-on effect.
That's because Chelsea prospect Tino Anjorin signed for the Russians on loan having been convinced by Rangnick it was the right place for him to continue his development.
Those two clubs inserted a £17million option to buy that was expected to be activated in January.
Anjorin was even handed the coveted number 10 shirt as he enjoyed a promising start to life in the Russian capital, making nine appearances between the Premier Liga and Europa League before a broken metatarsal forced him out for several weeks.

The England U20 attacking midfielder has not played for Lokomotiv since October 30.
His earl season form had attracted interest from other European clubs, but the Chelsea academy graduate began his rehabilitation back in West London and has watched the situation in Moscow change dramatically over the last fortnight before Rangnick's own move.
Football.London have revealed that talks between Chelsea and Lokomotiv over Anjorin are scheduled to take place in Russia over the coming days.
