Ralf Rangnick gave his first press conference on Friday as Manchester United manager, and to say his answers to the media impressed the fanbase is an understatement.
Within ten minutes, he identified multiple issues at the club that needed to be fixed and set out his ambitions with the club.
In recent years, Old Trafford has not been the fortress it once was. Teams used to come and fear playing against United, but now there is a definite lack of respect for the once giant's of English football from teams throughout the league.
Just a few weeks ago before the embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Watford, their keeper and former-United player Ben Foster said to Sky Sports;
"There's a couple of teams you would genuinely worry about, but the other 17, 18 I honestly think we can get points from, and that includes Man United."
The respect for United as a dangerous footballing side has gone, and under Rangnick, they need to recapture it. But based on the quotes from his first press conference, fans can be confident that this is his goal.
Rangnick was in the stands for United's 3-2 win against Arsenal, but his comments on the game show he was far from convinced by the result, saying;
"Yesterday in the box, I felt with Michael, Kieran, it could have been 3-3. You don't want these types of games as a coach. In the end, I was more than happy we got the result we wanted."
"The major target for me is just to bring more balance to the team. We conceded two goals yesterday, and if you look at the total of number of goals conceded, it is on average of two a game. That is just too much.
"Those are not the kind of games you need every day. In football to me, it's to minimise the coincidence factor."
The confidence factor is something that Rangnick has spoken about many times. He wants to scare teams into submission with his high pressing football and quick attacks, forcing them into digging their own graves with mistakes.
Therefore the three clean sheets that United have kept all season will not be pleasing to the German manager.
It is very similar to how Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp plays. There is a reason for that, as the manager was inspired by Rangnick when Hoffenheim dominated him as Borussia Dortmund manager, and then Klopp went in search of his own answers elsewhere.
And you can be sure of the teams that Foster was worried about in his comment. One was the Liverpool side which demolished them 5-0 earlier in the season.
Rangnick will be hoping to pick up results both home and away, but it is at Old Trafford where he will have a significant advantage in minimising the confidence factor.
The United fans in the stadium are unrelenting and constantly drive their team forward and undermine the opposition. All that is needed is for the players' performance on the pitch to emulate the crowd's desires as the famous 'Attack' chant rings out from the terraces.
Maybe then, teams will begin to fear stepping out of the famous Stretford End tunnel once again, and perhaps he can start work on it against Crystal Palace in his first game in charge on Sunday.
