Ralf Rangnick explains what Manchester United must do to beat Wolves

Ralf Rangnick believes Manchester United's attacking approach will be the key to getting a positive result against Wolves.

United are back in action on Monday evening when they welcome Bruno Lage's side to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The Reds head into the match seventh in the league but could move up to fourth in the table if they win both of their matches in hand.

In order to do so, United will need to get three points against Wolves, but Rangnick knows it will be tricky to unlock a side with the second-best defensive record in the English top-flight this season.

"Yes, another complicated team to play," he told club media. "In most cases they play with a back three or a back five.

"Very compact on the counterattack, very difficult to outplay. And again, it’s about finding the right spots, the right spaces, making the right decisions, playing the ball into the dangerous areas without being vulnerable on the counterattack. This is, against Wolves, one of the most important things."

United are still unbeaten under the reign of the German coach, and he knows that maintaining this run for as long as possible will be crucial in achieving their goals this season.

Rangnick added: "There is no replacement for winning games. It’s the most important part. This gives confidence to the players. They are unbeaten now for eight competitive games and we have to try and prolong this way of playing."
