Ralf Rangnick has finally been unveiled as Manchester United manager after agreeing to take on the role a week ago, and has given his first press conference to the media on Friday.
The German arrives with a lot of excitement and expectation, and he will be pleased with parts of United's 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday as he was in attendance watching on.
One of the expectations that follow Rangnick is his high-intensity style of football as the 63-year-old is well renowned for founding gegenpressing, meaning that the boss could make specific signings in January to assist with his philosophy.
One of the signings rumoured is Erling Haaland, but Rangnick was quick to dismiss the "nonsense" claims that have surfaced surrounding a potential deal.

Haaland is one of the most desired forwards across Europe, and it's likely that the Norwegian could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer for a cut-price fee due to a clause in his contract, although Chelsea unsuccessfully attempted to jump the queue this summer.
Rangnick played a major part in bringing Haaland to Red Bull Salzburg back in 2019, and it's been suggested that the German could work his magic once more at United, but for a hefty reward.
Reports claimed that the interim boss could be in for a whopping £10million bonus from the club if he lured Haaland to Old Trafford, but Rangnick dismissed these rumours almost instantly.
When asked about suggestion, the new boss checked through notes on his desk while joking that he would also receive money for signing Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski, before admitting "this is nonsense" to those in attendance.
Rangnick will likely be given substantial funds in January though, and the new boss did comment on what his plans are for signing players.
The German revealed: "Maybe after Christmas, there will be a time to talk about possible transfers in the winter. In my experience, winter is not the time for sustainable transfers. It will be difficult in the winter."
Rangnick left his directors role at Lokomotiv Moscow to join United, and even took a swipe at Chelsea as he revealed that he turned down their approach in January, although their appointment of Thomas Tuchel has been a masterstroke.
The German said he turned down Chelsea's proposal for an interim role, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to manage United, as he said: "If a club like Manchester United contacts you for such a role, you cannot possibly turn it down."
Rangnick is ready to make his mark at the club, and revealed that he is already in the know as he said: "I had a long telephone call with Joel Glazer. I also spoke with Ole, who told me all of his insight on the team."
The 63-year-old will take charge of his first match on Sunday, as United welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford.
