Rajya Sabha byelection on September 13 for 1 seat in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rajya Sabha bypoll to fill one seat in TN will be held on September 13. Notification will be issued on August 24, the EC said on Tuesday.

The bypoll is to fill the vacancy caused by the death of AIADMK member A Mohammedjan on March 23 this year.

The bypoll may help the DMK to increase its strength in the upper house to eight from the present seven members.
