Rajshri Rani of Suhani Si Ek Ladki fame, is happy with her entry on the TV show Imlie as Radhika. Wondering why? The actress, who was last seen in Namak Issk Ka, is working on the same show that has her husband Gaurav Mukesh Jain. “We last worked together in Suhani Si Ek Ladki, but we were friends back then and now we are husband and wife. Log kehte hain ki husband wife ko ek saath kaam nahi karna chahiye. So, we don’t behave like a couple on the sets. Plus, we are best friends first and then husband and wife,” she says.
Gaurav plays a domestic help called Sundar in the show while Rajshri has a meatier role. Was she apprehensive about taking up the role fearing any kind of ego clashes between them? She says, “While these thoughts didn’t really come to my mind, my family spoke to me and warned me about the same. However, we both are okay about things. Gaurav is excited to have me on the sets. I don’t think there is any scope for ego clashes between us.”
Ask Rajshri if they have plans of extending the family soon and she shares, “I have mixed feelings about the thought of becoming a mother. I am scared, worried and happy, all at the same time. However, my family keeps reminding me about my ticking biological clock. I will plan to have a baby soon because of the age factor. I don’t want to have any complications by conceiving at a later age.”
Rajshri, who hails from a small town Fatehpur, near Kanpur, says she misses her hometown a lot. “Kanpur was very near to my hometown and we used to also travel to Lucknow to meet our relatives. We used to go to Kanpur to shop on all occasions. One thing I am really happy about is that Kanpur has its own airport now, otherwise, I always had to go to Lucknow first and then Kanpur. So the connectivity to my town has become better ever since the airport became functional in Kanpur.”
