Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo is apparently a fan of former Red Sox closer and current free agent Craig Kimbrel, and he spent nearly a minute in pre-game warmups on Wednesday doing an extremely detailed impression of the pitcher’s bizarre delivery.
Kimbrel’s pre-pitch stance is easily one of the weirdest sights in baseball, Rondo has it down perfectly. With JaVale McGee serving as a catcher, Rondo painstakingly prepared the mound, faked a pick-off throw to first base, and eventually fired a fastball directly at McGee’s chest.
Rondo went on to put up 11 points and 16 assists in a win over the Pelicans.
