Rajon Rondo buzzer-beater saves Lakers in comeback win at Celtics 129-128

Rajon Rondo may have saved the Los Angeles Lakers season with a game-winner at the buzzer to cap off a comeback to beat the Boston Celtics 129-128 after the trade deadline passed only eight hours before.

LeBron James recorded 28 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists as the Lakers came back from as many as 18 points down to get a huge road win that could lift their spirits and make them forget all about the past two weeks.

Although the Celtics left the day feeling better about their chances for Anthony Davis, an old Celtic friend made sure the Lakers left the day feeling better. Rondo finished with 17 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Kyle Kuzma had 25 points and five rebounds while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 17 points, including five in the 4th quarter and a huge assist to LeBron James for a 3-pointer that tied the game in the final seconds.

After a 42-point loss to the Pacers without Victor Oladipo, the Lakers can bask in a comeback victory over a healthy Celtics team that only hours earlier felt invincible.
