RAJKOT: A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after being pulled up by her mother for playing games on mobile phone. The girl, from Jasdan town of Rajkot district, had dropped out of school. She had a smartphone and constantly played games on it, police said.
On Sunday, her mother rebuked her and askedher to help with household work. Hurt by the reprimand, she took the step. There have been numerous cases of youngsters, mostly students, across the country, of committing suicide after being left without mobile phone or being reprimanded over its excessive usage.
