Rajinikanth being monitored closely in hospital

Reports of some of the investigations performed on superstar Rajnikanth have arrived and there was nothing alarming, Apollo Hospitals stated on December 26 evening. A few more reports were awaited.  

Based on the reports of the remaining investigations and his blood pressure status overnight, a call on discharging him from the hospital will be taken on December 27 morning. He was admitted at the hospital in Hyderabad on December 25.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami called up Mr. Rajnikanth to enquire about his health, and wished the superstar a speedy recovery.  

Mr. Rajnikanth was admitted to the hospital after his blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation.  

He was shooting for a movie in Hyderabad from the past 10 days. “A couple of people on the sets tested positive for COVID-19. Mr. Rajnikanth was tested on December 22 for COVID-19 and he was negative,” the hospital stated.

In a bulletin issued on December 26 morning, the hospital stated that Mr. Rajnikanth has had an uneventful night (on December 25) and his blood pressure was still on the higher side although under better control than December 25. They added that he was progressing well. And in the evening, they said that he was stable.
