Actor Rajeshwari Sachdev is all set to join the popular TV show Peshwa Bajirao. The popular actor, who is married to actor Varun Badola, will be replacing actor Anuja Sathe, who was portraying Radha bai in the show.
Sathe was also seen portraying a Marathi character in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film, Bajirao Mastani (2015).
The show will take a leap and have fresh faces essaying the central characters. Thus, the character of Bajirao’s mother will be portrayed by Rajeshwari.
The makers say that Rajeshwari was approached for the role in order to give the character a mature look in the period drama, post the leap. She is a versatile actor and brilliant singer, who has played different roles in several TV shows and films. Some of the shows she has done include Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Balika Vadhu.
A known face in the TV industry, Rajeshwari says, “Yes, I will be playing the character of Radha Bai in Peshwa Bajirao, post the leap in the show. The shoot is yet to begin and I am really looking forward to it.”
The makers say that more breathtaking visual effects and action scenes will be added in the plot as the show takes a leap.
