KOTA: The police on Saturday arrested a woman and her son for murdering her husband four days ago in Jhalawar. Both were produced in the court on Sunday which sent them to police custody for a day.
The deceased has been identified as Rai Singh Gurjar (50). Bakani police station SHO Mohammed Ibrahim said, fed up with domestic violence and miser nature of Rai, his wife Sumitra (45) and son Mangilal (22) strangulated him in sleep. The accused son had lodged a murder case against unidentified accused, he said. Ibrahim said, during probe, both narrated different stories which raised suspicion. However, both later admitted to have committed the crime. The deceased, despite having good source of income from agriculture land and huge stock of cattle, was so miser that he did not even send any of his four children, two daughters and two brothers to school nor ever initiated efforts for their marriage while each of the children is adult and eligible to marry.
